Kuchar Gets To Play In Olympics

The withdrawal of world number 3 Jordan Spieth meant that Matt Kuchar gets the opportunity to play for his country in the forthcoming Rio Olympics.
All the top four golfers in the world have withdrawn from playing the Summer Olympics. Matt finished in top 5 each of 3 weeks that led to his triumph at RBC Heritage 2015. He had chances of victory at the finale of Houston, San Antonio & Augusta yet he posted pedestrian figures. Thus, he was greatly relieved as he holed the bunker shot in 72nd hole in Harbour Town Golf Links- & the birdie gave him a last-round 64 & victory. “Mostly you will find me with my upbeat smile”, stated Matt. “But it was much emotion, relief & excitement together when I took the hat off & came up with the huge fist pumped down to ground.” (more…)
