One of the most consistent players on the US PGA Tour, Matt Kuchar is a professional golfer from the United States of America.
He is a seven time winner on the US PGA Tour, winning a massive $ 15 million in prize money, having record a stunning 30 finishes inside the top 30 during his peak years of 2009 and 2012. He burst onto the scene as a fresh faced youngster twelve years back and during the early stages of his professional career, he was tipped to become one of the top players, and enjoyed brief successes on the US PGA Tour as well.
But he soon began to struggle, failing to get consistent results going in his favour, so much so that there was a time when he struggled to hold on to his membership on the US PGA Tour. But since then, Matt Kuchar worked hard on his game, spent hours on the course and rejuvenated him, coming back with a brand new and one plane sing that has changed the course of his career completely.
In 2012, Kuchar’s best year on the US PGA Tour by far, he won the US PGA Tour’s flagship event, the Players Championship and it remains his biggest victory as a professional till date. Due to his triumph in the Players Championship, Kuchar climbed into the top ten of the Official World Golf Rankings and the highest position he has ever reached when he climbed to fifth, remaining inside the top ten on a consistent basis for 40 weeks.
Matt Kuchar also won his first ever title on the World Golf Championship when he beat fellow American Hunter Mahan in the final of the World Golf Championship – Accenture Match Play Championship to win the title. He is however, yet to win a major.
